1. Introduction
StreetStride ("StreetStride", "we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS app that helps you plan treadmill running routes and view Google Street View imagery while you exercise. This Privacy Policy describes how StreetStride handles information when you use the app.
We do not operate a StreetStride account system and we do not run a backend server that stores your running history, route history, health data, or precise location data.
2. Information StreetStride Handles
Route and location information
When you create or preview a route, StreetStride may use your current location, selected start and end points, custom waypoints, route polyline, route distance, route names, and route progress. This information is used to provide route planning, Street View movement, route history, favorite routes, and run summaries.
Your saved route and run history is stored locally on your device using Apple storage technologies. StreetStride does not send this saved history to a StreetStride server.
Workout and fitness information
StreetStride records workout details such as distance, duration, pace, completion status, run date, weekly goals, streaks, levels, and achievements. These records are used for app functionality such as summaries, history, progress, and badges. They are stored locally on your device.
Apple Health
If you grant Health permission, StreetStride can write treadmill running workouts, walking/running distance, and estimated active energy to Apple Health. StreetStride does not request permission to read your existing Apple Health data. You can manage or revoke Health permissions in the iOS Health app or iOS Settings.
Photos and sharing
If you use a screenshot, route image, or share feature, StreetStride may create an image from your run or route summary. Photos are saved or shared only when you choose to use those features and grant the relevant iOS permission or complete the share action.
Purchases and subscriptions
StreetStride uses Apple's StoreKit and App Store infrastructure to offer and manage subscriptions. Apple processes purchases, renewals, refunds, billing, and payment information. StreetStride receives subscription entitlement status from StoreKit so the app can unlock premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Free run counter
StreetStride may store a local counter of completed free runs in the iOS Keychain so the app can apply the free usage limit. This counter is used only for app entitlement functionality.
Local diagnostics and usage counters
StreetStride may store local-only counters such as route catalog views, selected route types, completed runs, and coverage warnings. These values help the app personalize and debug the local experience. They are stored on your device and are not sent to a StreetStride analytics server.
3. Third-Party Services
Google Maps Platform
StreetStride uses Google Maps Platform, including Google Maps SDK, Places, Directions, and Street View related services, to display maps, search places, calculate routes, check Street View coverage, and load panorama imagery. When you use these features, route queries, selected places, coordinates, device network information, and related request data may be sent to Google and handled under Google's terms and privacy policy.

Apple services
StreetStride uses Apple frameworks and services such as App Store, StoreKit, HealthKit, Keychain, Photos, and system location permission prompts. Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's privacy practices and the settings on your device.
4. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your personal information. We do not share your saved running history, saved routes, or health data with advertisers or data brokers.
Information may be processed by Google or Apple when you use app features that depend on their services, as described above. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer, but we do not currently operate a server-side user database for such data.
5. Storage and Retention
StreetStride stores your app data locally on your device for as long as you keep it in the app. Deleting runs, clearing app data where available, or uninstalling the app can remove local app data from the device. Some iOS Keychain items may persist across uninstall and reinstall according to Apple's platform behavior. Apple Health workout records can be managed separately in the Health app.
6. Your Choices and Controls
- You can deny or revoke Location permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage Health permissions and delete Health records in the Health app.
- You can manage Photos permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can delete locally stored app data by using in-app controls where available or uninstalling the app.
7. Children's Privacy
StreetStride is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or through App Store release notes.
